The NSW Rugby League is under challenge today at it's annual meeting, with Cronulla boss Barry Pierce targetted for removal from the board.

NSW Leagues clubs general manager Chris Bowden is standing for a place on the nine man board and is said to have the support of his nine fellow vice presidents.

Pierce, a tireless worker for the game and president of the Cronulla club, is highly regarded by the NSWRL but will need the full support of non vice presidents to ensure he is re-elected.

Is this the start of the slide?

Report in todays sunday mail also state Pierce will be appointed to the ARL board and 1st up next year is the vote for australian coach.......with pierce likely to join the qld vote to oust ando from aussie coach job!
