Inside the back page of todays (22/6/09) Telegraph there is a small snippet regarding the coaching appointment of the NYC coach for next season.

No idea as to who the coach will be however the new board has decided that the role for next year will be a part time appointment. The article goes on to say that most clubs are waiting with anticipation to see how it works as they too may adopt the same policy.

It also questions how well the NYC players will be looked after.

well I know that Joey Grima isn't a fulltime employee at the sharks.

I still think Brett Kenny will get the gig.

Part time??? So the coach only turns up on game days??

By the way the teams has been currently peforming you would think our NYC coach has been employed part time.

My understanding (and please correct me if I am wrong) using other teams as a guide that unless they are training with the fulltime squad that most of these guys train after work/school anyway. The job would I am assuming be paid for the hours being worked rather than in a fulltime capacity.

Thats how I understand it. I think Joey has another job as well, much alike to the players in most cases

Would Brett Kenny be allowed to coach the U20's? I thought that board members arent allowed to accept any monies from the club.
