Just saw on Channel 7 this morning that they have announced the Wallabies will play France, NZ, SA, Italy and Samoa in tests in '05.

What is the RL calender for next year?? A single ANZAC test?

CMON RLIF and ARL we need more games !!!!!

Exactly right. The ARU and IRB are so much more organised and structured than the ARL and RLIF it's not funny!!!

Take the emphasis of off Club football, ensure internationals are played during the season with the best players with clubs having to release them to the national squad (if selected) and thats the only way International football will work.

Its pretty much confirmed for 2005 that the Kangaroos will take on Great Britain, New Zealand and France, though where the matches will be played and in what format is still whats being discussed.

Guys,

It is wrong to blame the current league administrators for failing to match Rugby on the international stage.

If league wants to compete at that level then it has to determine that it is in the best interests of the game and then set about developing the code in a number of countries for many many years. Before it sets on this course it will have to determine a budget and calculate the cost to the domestic game in OZ and the north of England. The cost would be about equal to running 4 to 6 NRL teams. Who is prepared to kiss their team goodbye...Knights, NO, Dragons, NO. Roosters, Not bloody likely etc, etc.

How much pain is INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE WORTH....more than most club fans are prepared to pay is my guess.

Show how the international development is funded and then show where the funds are to be spent and get league supporters to support u and u could be a member of the NRL board.      :?

Absolutley bloody AMAZING.
Blowhards talk about promoting the game as though it was a god given right, BUT when it comes to financing, promoting and justifying we seem well short of candidates. Answer the hard questions and the game of league may expand. keep on wimping it and even the current limited boundaries of the game will shrink. :( :( :|

The RLIF should have released next years International Program the day before the Tri-Nations final, it was obvious that there was going to be a proffit so all they had to do was say which weekends certain games would be played.

If all of us here ran the IRL, it'd be good. We'd put as many internationals in Australia, and also around the world. Since the USA are improving why dont we give them more internationals. The guys that are running this dont seem to know what theyre doing.

yeh lets just put internationals everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .............dimwit these things cost money.........transport, stadiums, insurance etc.

what about the players? want them playing 40 games a year?

why dont you go put a job application for the IRL if you know how to run the game....go ahead

you idiot, I dont mean it like that.

if they wanted more internationals then they'd shorten the season so thats up to the NRL. I know how hard it is for players to play 30 games a year, I mean thats been happening for years so it really is a regular thing, but these days they want to play less games.

But the thing is they've already planned for the 2008 WC to be in Australia which is good, but if we want it to be success why cant they have more internationals in Australia, they'd get plenty of crowds even if is in Gosford, Newcastle, Townsville. But these one-off test matches just isnt enough. Bring back the 3 test series games, tour games you name it.

the US have to organise there own internationals and then inform the RLIF of when they take place.
