I thought now that I've achieved a measly 8 posts I should give you guys an insight into JKS. I'm a die hard eels fan and have supported the team for as long as I can remember.
After reading all the posts about our team over the past few weeks it got me thinking about when I was a kid. I got my parents to re-decorate my room when my age was still well within single figures and it went something like this. The wardrobe got painted yellow, my shelving unit got painted blue with 4 yellow stripes at each end, the bed got painted yellow, the curtains where blue and gold striped and dads sister (an artist) reproduced the old eels logo from the 70's (a meter square) and this took pride of place on the wall.
Now as a man-child I have very little decorating control but have managed to convince the boss to run with 2 features walls in our new house. Admittedly, they are in seperate rooms but the colours are ... you guessed it ... blue and gold.
I'll support this club forever.
Cheers, JKS

Sounds like similar upbringings JKS, my bedroom also was one huge blue and gold shrine.
Last year i redecorated the house and my downstairs Living room now consists of 3 Parra Blue walls and a beautiful feature wall of bright Parra Gold. All walls are covered with signed jerseys and parra memorabilia.
Just to top it off I had a stained glass eel logo made for my front door, they made a terrific job of it, it's absolutely amazing when the sun shines through it (not often here in NZ), only problem is, i'll have to take the front door with me when i sell up #-o

So, GP, when they change logos, you change doors?

And JKS, glad to have you here!

My room wasn't quite in your league, having to share space with a Motorhead/AC/DC/Ted Nugent shrine, but Mum did manage to crochet a life size clown in a Parra jersey just for the '76 GF. "Shovells" (he had no hair), occupied a chair in our lounge for all 8 GF's, before falling to bits sometime in the 90's.

Since moving out of my old mans place in 1993 the room has not been touched. I can still go back their today and still see 2 of the biggest Sterling posters you could ever imagine, right next to posters of Allison Brae and Guns N Roses.

The roof is also complete with the entire roof full of surfing posters apart from ones that have fallen down, which are now positioned on the floor.

I was trying to convince my parents to paint every room of downstairs in blue & gold, but seeing as my father is a souths supporter he wasnt too keen lol.
