Inu Conversion VIDEO ADDED

At 14 - 4 up Inu attempted a kick to make the score 16-4.

I could have sworn that the kick skimmed the post and went in. From the looks of it, Inu also thought it went in. Anyone else see what I saw? They didn't show a replay so I can't be 100% certain.

It looked like it went above the top of the posts to me, which can make it very difficult to judge whether it went over or not. We didn't get a replay which didn't help either.

Not saying in this instance but can the video ref adjudicate on disputed conversions? Its been a while since the touchies did the flags opposite ways.

I also thought it went over, Inu seemed to think so, I also could have sworn the touchie raised his flag (they only showed a wide angle high shot and no replay so I can't be sure).

Tackling the big issues here.

Laugh all you like but it actually happened in the 1967 grand final - the first televised GF, as it happened. Kevin Longbottom attempted a penalty from his own side of half way which hit the upright, then the cross bar and trickled over. One flag up, one flag down. Col Pearce, from over fifty metres away (or fifty five yards for the times) ruled no goal. Canterbury's captain-coach, Kevin Ryan, who was standing a a few metres away, confirmed it was a goal. That was a two point game.

Do we really need grand finals to be decided like this?

It's great there's finally a thread finally about Inu, that's not about being the worst player in the game.
