I'll start it here as I'm interested now.... can anyone tell me if they can find a spot for Inu in the team next year seeing Tahu is back? I can't find a spot for him.

He will partner Tahu on the left side.
Tahu has even come out and said that he is looking forward to forming his partnership up with Inu again which was truely magnificent.

Im guessing either Grothe or Burt will still head over-seas or Reddy or Grothe will get moved into the back row or on the bench.

Im sorry but Inu has to much skill and talent (displayed at the end of year) to be left out of the side and a to bigger future in the game.

so how did we go in the trials, and who is showing form from last year (2009)? :sarcasm:

Team selection will be based on trial form / injuries to speculate now will be a waste of breath.

Is Grothe going? I know Burt isn't. As far as Inu having too much skill, i can't argue too much with that, but i haven't seen it for 2 years! I can't see Reddy getting moved - nor should he and I can't see Inu displacing Burt and Grothe won't be moved to the back row... I can't see that happening.

Originally on hearing Tahu's signing I felt Grothe might be the one to miss out... but the way each of them has played over the past month or two, Grothe played his heart out and showed his importance to the side, whereas Inu seems more "replaceable" without it really changing the structure of the side.

So if Tahu trains well, is fit, and performs in the trials, then I'd assume he'd take Inu's spot to start the season.

But like others I keep reading about Grothe and his manager seeking other deals to leave his contract early, and wondering if we can keep everyone in our backline under the cap anyway?

Maybe the choice for DA will be made for him if Grothe attracts an offer from outside the NRL... but we'll be a weaker side for his absence imo.

In bold is what I agree with and IMO the rest is rubbish.
I think Inu will start in the centres on the left and Tahu on the right with one of Grothe, Reddy or Burt missing out. Burt I think has combined well with Inu and Hayne on the left flank, Reddy has been very consistant and is great under the high ball and Grothe is great for the go forwards. I would say Burt is more replace IMO but has been to good to leave out. I guess I'm just glad DA has the make the decisions not me.

An important note is that DA has moved Reddy (rather than INU) to the wing on occations when Burt or Grothe have gone down mid match. After Inu was dropped he was brought back in and named on the wing but he played the match in the centres and Reddy pushed out to the wing. These are things that make me think Inu will stay in the centres.

Tahu and Inu will be the first 2 centres picked imo and wont play next to another.

Unfortunately Reddy doesn't have Burt's or Guru's pace to play on the wing but I'm sure he'll be in the team.

I would be very surprised if Inu, Grothe and Burt are all still with the Club in 2010. One of them will move on.
They shouldn't be moved on...but, from what I have heard, it will happen. All three of them have been 'shopped' to other Clubs - not as a package, but individually. One Club, at least, was interested in taking up Krisnan, but he said he did not want to go.

The fact is one of them will be playing at Wenty in rd 1, it will depend on trial form. Factor in injuries and suspenions and they will all get a run. It's good having depth.

It's good to have competition for spots, eh?

Much better than when we had players who weren't performing but supposedly couldn't be dropped because "there's no one else".

Burt or Reddy are the most likely to miss out, but Inu cannot afford another form slump. Equally, Tahu will have to perform and stay uninjured to hold out whoever misses out.

I've read Grothe quoted as saying that he's keen to head overseas, but will be with the club in 2010. Likewise, you'd think next year would be close to Burt's last with the club.

I think whoever is lining up for Wenty in Round 1 will still get plenty of first grade games next year, and if it is Reddy ... then he'll have a spot assured in first grade in 2011.

Nice problems to have.

Not a fan of Inu at all. The bloke needs to learn how to tackle....dropping a shoulder is not the way.

Get rid of him.

Should be picked on form closer to the time. If picked now, I would leave out Inu. Hard decision but good for depth. Reddy has outperformed Inu imo.

yep, if a team is chosen today at full strength, INU wouldn't be there and that's in no way discrediting him, it's just that the other blokes in front of him have done a little more to hold their spot.
