Agreed. With Toopi seemingly just not interested any more - He becomes one of two VERY exciting kiwi juniors at Bondi...But if Willie Mason goes to the chooks...I want the other one - Anthony Tupou - in return!...Else - NO DEAL Wicky!!! [-X

No way in hell ... id rather Tupou than Mason or any other player. This kid is going to be huge this year. Keep him :)

Well fer feckssakes - would you tell @^#*$ Sticky & Gus-Gus that!??!?!

no you tell the Telegraph that and his manager...lol

all you need is a handfull of good nrl games and you are in line for a kiwi call up
Dpends what position you play. If you're a centre or half then all you need is a handful of good games, but if you're a second rower then you'd need more than a few good games.

He aint nearly as good as our NZ import Josh Davies. Itrs easier to say as well.

You would get an argument from me on that one. Davies is pretty
good (looking unfit at the moment though !!!), but Sia will be a Kiwi
before him.

Sia has a mental toughness that's not overly common in young
players and that, combined with his skills, will see him go a very
long way in the game.

I would hate, though, to see him hyped ala SBW.

Cheers

I realise the season only just started but does anybody think he's the early favourite for rookie of the year? The only other new comers that impressed me this week were Tim Smith and Nate Myles from the Dogs.
Asuming that Ricky isnt silly enough to play Chris Walker again.

stuart seems to have woken up to himself and stuck that hack walker in premiere league where he belongs. soliola could easily start in the centres with monaghan shifted to the wing. he a strong defender and can attack good aswell.

geez I didn't realise he is only 18

I think you'll find that Soliola is still 17. There was a rumour on Muzz's New Wall that he lied on his birth certificate. Dont know how true it is, but some people seem to think it has legs. God i hope he doesnt get hyped up like Karmichael Hunt did last year, at times i really felt sorry for Hunt.

Since when is Willie Mason's manager ghost-writing gut-churningly simpering articles about Mason in the Fairfax press under the nom de plume "PHIL GOULD"???

Obviously a Multi-talented fellow! :p

Really?...I did not know that - Not what most of your other fans have been saying round the traps!

But...surely he could qualify for both nations then through parentage - should he so choose?

Theres a reason why kiwis call up youngsters early, to keep the kangaroos from paoching their young talent.

pick soliola for the kiwis, then kangaroos cant pick him

I hope Soliola does play for the Kiwis...But - ONLY if he wants to!

If he feels in his heart, he's an Aussie though - having been brought up here - then he should be a proud Roo!

One solution - at 18 years of age - make NRL contracted dual eligibility players choose which country they would like to play for!...May keep the 'wolves' at bay later on...then again - could lead to some dodgy person(s) putting pressure on young players....?

Just a thought anyway...because as a proud Aussie, I am SHAMED when we pick Kiwis in our teams!...Just so they can't get at them! If they WANT to play for us - hey, welcome, welsome!...But to be pressured into it...is disgraceful on the ARL's part!
