QRL Match Preview said:
He holds the world record for most tackles in a game and this week Steele Retchless has been named to return to the Ipswich Jets line-up for their home clash against Souths Logan.

Retchless missed last Sunday’s loss against reigning premier Burleigh with a calf injury and has been given up until Friday night to prove his fitness this week. Previously with the London Broncos, Retchless tallied 66 tackles against Bradford in 1998, while also going on to achieve an unsurpassed 202 appearances for the British club. The 33-year-old is joined in the sick bay at Ipswich by influential halfback Ricky Bird, who is once more beset by injury. He too will be assessed Friday.

Meanwhile, Souths Logan welcomes back star player Maurice ‘Bobby’ Blair. The 20-year-old traveled to Bundaberg last weekend for the funeral of his grandmother. Among a number of significant changes, Magpies coach Phil Economidis has switched former Canberra Jersey Flegg Player of the Year Scott Smith from hooker to halfback.

One player missing is Nathaniel Bowman, who scored a try and injured his hamstring on debut for Souths Logan in the latest twist of a long-running saga. An elusive winger and gifted goalkicker, Bowman was claimed to be joining at least three different clubs in the off-season, including the Magpies, a team in Mackay and a team in Townsville.

Once contracted to the Bulldogs NRL club, Bowman played Foley Shield for Townsville three weeks ago. He has previously attracted interest from the North Queensland Cowboys and, in a rarity, represented Country against City from local club level.

Referee for this week’s live ABC telecast game is Tony Long. Both teams are yet to win.

Souths penalty goal.

Souths Logan 20 - Ipswich 12.

Your tip for an upset 'Biglance' is coming good. None of us tipped the Magpies.

There is still 27 minutes left though. Come on Jets!

I have serious doubts about that last one - thought he looked out at live speed and it looked worse in the replays.

Yea but yet the commentators and ref seem to think it was good.

I thought it was dead set no try.

Gordon Rattler scores a fantastic try for the Jets.

Looks like a Jets pass was knocked down by a failed intercept attempt that hit another Magpie who looked to have falconed it across field. Rattler picks it up and steps half the Souths team and scores near the posts.

Kick successful.

Ipswich 30 - Souths Logan 26

2 minutes to go...

Final score.

Ipswich 30 - Souths Logan 26

What a suprisingly entertaining game for a bottom of the table clash with something like five changes in the lead.

He'll have to be labelled "TV Gordon" Rattler. He scored an almost indentical brilliant try against Wynnum in the ABC match on Easter Saturday last year.

Surprisingly, he has only scored three Queensland Cup tries in total. Just keeps his best for the TV games.
