I have arachnaphobia, when I saw that pic I could barely even look at it but apparently it's shite anyway. I looked it up on the 'net, very exaggerated.
Still wouldn't like one in my friggin' tent though :shock:
When I saw LOTR with the spider scene, it was the first time since I was young that I actually covered my face with my hands

1985 I saw what the locals call a Banana Spider in the Tamborine Mountains. To this day, nobody believes me, but I swear it's the truth. It's body was the size of a football. Legs were thicker than my fingers. We had an awesome view of it. It was on the outside of a glass sliding door.

Unlikely, they had a picture of the biggest spider ever in the Guinness Book a few years back and it was nowhere near that big.

It evidently is an Ant. Not a spider.


And it ISNT a foot long. Probably 4-6 inches at most. The picture was cropped to make it look bigger.

:lol: Apparently same deal with the camel spider, it was suggested the lens or a close-up would have made them look bigger in comparison to the man.
Also there is no evidence to support the screaming scenario, in some emails it was rumoured to run 25mph :roll:
