Why do people (coaches) love to tinker with a winning formula. He's a brilliant centre, just leave him there.

Much like the sea eagles buying Dylan walker to be a 5/8, so stupid, play him at centre and you'll get a reward.

Copley on the wing is Brayden Wiliame levels of bad

Although he did earn the name Dropley for a reason, he wasn't so bad towards the end of his time on the wing.

Don't see why you would play SKD in the centres over him anyhow.

It's probably more to do with easing Mitchell into first grade via the wing than anything. Be interesting to see how long Robinson sticks with the arrangement, and whether Ferguson shows any improvement.

Pretty sure I saw Fergo catch a ball so he's already ahead of Braith. Still atrocious though.

Can't be long before Mitchell is back there permanently

The whole blood them at wing idea works fine when you have a player who is half decent at full back but we don't. Fergo is on a hiding to nothing and clearly would rather be at centre.

It's going to be tough going whilst our combinations gel and our missing players return so may as well just bight the bullet and put latrell back there.

The backline is all about putting players in the best position and working on combinations. The forward pack is the issue. I thought evans and napa would rip in but they looked like 5 year old girls. I think maybe moa and SST need to start.

Mitchell was fairly error prone in the nyc last season. When i watched him he struggled with his position and taking kicks, I don't think he would be ready to play fb yet.

I agree that is what is being done, but the stupid part is we are doing it with a guy who simply cannot play fullback as our stop gap.

There was a moment at a scrum yesterday where Ferguson tried to pack into lock while defending our line and had to be told to get back in position by Nikorima. It was embarrassing.

If we had a veteran fullback like we had in Mini, then the RTS-style training program for Mitchell would make sense. When you are just shoving some bloke back there whose never played the position before with even a modicum of success you are asking for trouble. We are effectively training 2 people to play fullback at the same time.

Mitchell needs to be back there from next week, with Ferguson moved back to centre where he belongs and SKD shifted to the wing
