Altho we seem to have the wood over the Sharks do you the think the Greg Birdbrain incident will motivate them this weekend. Or will our last 2 performances and fear of a tap on the shoulder motivate us to get over the line. The later i think.
Oh and of course its Hodgo's Last game at home.:(

I wont be tipping a Tigers win this week, although I'm fairly certain the Sharkies' mid-to-late season drop-off is long overdue this year...

Sharks have been our muppets for a long time now and by rights with it being last game of the year at Leichardt, Hodgos last home game, the pressure Sheens has put on them for contracts, Bird is out... all adds up to what i would expect to be a big effort from the boys.

But after the last 2 weeks who really knows aye

The Sharks forwards have a lot more 'bastard' about them then we do. If our forwards don't match up, we'll get spanked.

Whoever plays lock had better spend more time on Noddy's boots than his shoelaces.

We should have Laurie running at Noddy all game

I would love for Laurie to be on the field for a total of more than 30 minutes!

Although his limited game time might have something to do with his fitness.

Great way to promote dissention with your senior players:

Daily Telegraph p 107 Wednesday 27 August 08

Sheens Backs Benji:

Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens resisted calls from his senior players to drop Benji Marshall from Friday night’s must win clash with Cronulla.

The Daily Telegraph has learned the clubs leadership group was unhappy that Marshall went out drinking after Wets shattering 48-16 loss to Manly last Sauurday.

The group approached Sheens on Monday to discuss Marshalls attitude and suggested he be stood down from the Leichhardt Oval clash.

But Sheens yesterday retained Marshall at five-eight in the team to meet Cronulla.

Asked if Marshall would play NRL on Friday night, Sheens replied “Why not? Is he injured?”……………………..

Way to go Sheens- that will go down like a lead balloon with the senior players. They are targeted by the club to provide discipline and peer pressure to players and then he goes and does this to them when they need their concerns listened to and supported. Marshall cannot be allowed to run his own show and not be subject to the discipline others have to toe the line on. If not, here comes another SBW / Willie Mason............

What the hell?????????????????? Do others think this is bad form by Sheens towards his senior players?

What should Benji do after the loss ??? Anyway the sharks are in camp especially for the game to get away from the shire and the BIRDBRAIN AFFAIR so you can expect Sticky to have them up for the game.

I expect the sharks to pile on plenty of points (for a change). The final score line will be ugly and maybe Sheens second last game

A starting player only the other week replied to a message i sent to him on facebook saying that the entire squad was on a drinking ban
so Benji may be in trouble (if its true)

The pace of first grade is something even the fittest player will take some getting used to, particularly a front rower.
