A pro comp has been proposed for Auckland FOX mermorial comp from what I've been told, each club to be allocated a salary cap; Only 8 clubs to make the cut, Warriors CEO proposed the idea with ARL's support at a Auckland clubs conference voted in last year I heard, meant to kick off 2014 or 2015? Run along the lines of the NSWRL. Support for the Vulcans concept is falling over amongst the Auckland clubs, who all voted it in, to much ARL money tied up in it for little return. IMO top 8 clubs in a Auckland comp with a salary would benefit us out in South Auckland, enabling us to pay players.
