I wasn't referring to you specifically. Any understanding of the Gold Coast comes with the knowledge that the GC generally isn't known for good public transport. In fact the geographical nature of the GC with the Beach, water ways and hinterland makes it a logistical nightmare in general.
Robina being by the train line makes it not a logistical nightmare for anyone who lives within the train line stretching up to Beenleigh ( which as I was alluding to is actually a massive part of the GC population and projected growth).
That train line will be extended south eventually along with the tram will one day meet. Then there will likely be a connection through the middle to Robina...
I lived on the GC most of my life and I'm well aware of the lengthy process that was undertaken to choose Robina, which is undoubtedly the best location.

Everyone here seems to be an expert on the GC but have no clue.

Ok fair enough …

I have been to the GC many times and stayed several different places north and south …and whilst that doesn’t make me a local by any stretch , I’m probably a bit more understanding of the GC geography than others who have done 5 days at Surfers once in their life …

I said a couple of days back that beggars can’t be choosers and they had to take the stadium location the Govt gave them … you think it’s the best location so I’ll defer to your local knowledge…. I hope they can become a very popular team eventually and pack that ground out … their fans deserve some success …

I just said the Sharks are a good club. Only 2 sides in the NRL aren't up to it. Tits and Tigpies, Wests can become a serious team committing to Campbelltown fulltime
Penrith have been shit for the majority of their existence. This recent run only offsets it. Penrith is probably the biggest shithole in the country and no amount of titles will change that.

Unfortunately for the you and the NRL this dynasty has made the club huge moving forward, just like what Parra's success in the 80s did.
I'm up the Mid North Coast and half the kids in my son's school are now Panther fans even up this way.

I've been there when we had Campbell and Prince, making finals and yes it was pack and loud!
Have a look on a map, the majority of growth is all north and fast! Coomera, Pimpama, Oxenford ect. New estates poping up left right and centre- working families a short drive to the train station. That train line is going down to the Airport too eventually.
Robina is central GC . 80% of the actual GC you wouldn't have stayed- there's nowhere to stay- suburbia.

Unfortunately for me? I'm happy for any fans of the game regardless of who they follow and you're right, Pathers have made a winning brand. Unfortunately for you the success has absolutely nothing to do with there location. Their success has come in spite of that.
The Titans crowds have still held up despite zero titles...the same can't be said for Penrith. Once their performance start to slip, the support will fall through the floor.

What a bizarre take on location

No-one believes the Titan's crowd figures, because they're a load of shit. It's pointless fantasising about how big the Titans could be if they were good, because they're always going to be shit. They're annoying to watch but if they're self-sufficient then whatever, they can keep limping about I suppose.

Penrith a shit hole go and buy a house there see how much it will s cost you?
AI Generated:
The median house price in Penrith, NSW is $931,000. This is based on data from the past 12 months, with 149 sales recorded. Specifically, a median price of $931,000 was recorded between April 2024 and April 2025. Additionally, 2-bedroom houses have a median price of $835,000, 3-bedroom houses are $920,000, and 4-bedroom houses are $1,077,500.

You comment elsewhere that people shouldn’t comment on the Gold coast unless they know the place, yet you have done the same...

Yeah . Sydney is the most expensive city of the developed world except maybe Hong Kong.. doesn't mean anything. I wouldn't want to live in most of Sydney and Penrith is at the bottom of the pecking order.

You're right though, maybe there's more to Mt druit than I thought...

Southern Sharks.

Cronulla remains in Sydney but signs a long term deal with the NRL, SA government to rebrand a little (Southern) and play 4-5 games in Adelaide.

The NRL could look to add additional games through moving other teams Sharks games in Adelaide. Even this statistic on paper is helpful to build corporate support.

İt would be good for Adelaide tourism, profile and good for the Sharks given it would increase their coverage and casual base which at present is limited to the shire.

The NRL should give an additional million in grant per year to make it happen.

This would be a step in adding a million casual fans in SA.

Additionally, the NRL should make a Sydney wide agreement for "Sydney season tickets).

This would help a team like Sharks but also means it would encourage a travelling crowd within Sydney, increasing crowds and atmosphere (which has positive flow on effects) .

Also, teams out if Sydney teams ,such as Bears etc could do so. Their presence would help the crowds and atmospy.

Any move to a relocated area would have to see the overwhelming majority of home games being held in the new expansion city in this case Adelaide.
