Spot on. You left out at the end to push their own agendas. Funny how the only people who highlight the negative are union and AFL journos. Also with crowds being down has given these worms material to attack the game. Why is there never any mention of the pathetic level of union at club level?

Rex Hunt. Sam Newman. Billy Brownless. These names mean anything to you?

How about Doug hawkins? If there was ever a prime example of an AFL identity being ocker, under-educated and underclass its the boy from the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

Fair dinkum. They used to line him up for abuse something shocking on the Melbourrne FS!

Most of the time it wasn't staged!

Yeah, I forgot about that little dweeb. I haven't seen him for a while ... does he still get his head on the box?

There's also those other high profile ex-AFL players that keep cropping up in the media Jacko and Warwick Capper ... what a pair of class acts they are.

And while you wouldn't call him ocker, former AFL "hardman" Dermott Brereton poncing around with his facelift (as per Sam Newman), makeup and blow-dried, permed, gelled hair doesn't really do much to add to AFL's image either.
