Monas > Goz.

Let him play 80 and the team will benefit.

Have a proper bench next year ffs. Des needs to do some thinking this off-season. He won't have BK next year to organise everything on the field.

But for some reason we keep giving monas a rest for Dunley. The one exception has been the match at newie g1. To me that match was like a torch shinning in the dark. We had finally got the bench right... Only to go back the same ineffective bench again for the rest of the season. Our bench has lacked impact all year except that one match.

It's des' 'strategy.' Remember how back in 2004 he toiled away with Mullane at 5/8 and Walker at Fullback for half a season despite the fact we lost six straight? Monaghan isn't tired or anything, and you can usually see the clear disgust on his face when he's forced to leave the field for Reflux. Hasler is just stubborn!

For mine, in 2007 it should be:

6-Lyon
7-Orford
9-Monaghan
14-Burns

I agree with that line up. But honestly, that doesn't fix the bench problem.

And who is now in the 13 or 11 with BK gone.

Burns, Rose, Bryant and Styles perhaps. With G. Stewart getting a gig in the 11/13.

Or, more radically, Monas to the six, Burns Bench hooker, Ballin Starting, Lyon Centres, Matai Lock. But that's probably unfair on Monaghan, who is becoming a good hooker, and on Matai, who is becoming an awesome centre!

Ideally Kite moves to the 2nd row or lock. Having lost lulu though, we need more props.

Bingo. There's not much inspiring in the PL Ranks though. Probably should have held onto Hecks.

Any chance of burns bulking up over the off season and being able to play at bit of game at lock?

I'd pick Sherwin for Australia before I picked Orford.

Simple reason: One is proven on big occasions and the other isn't.

Yep. Gower and Orford were pretty much the two NSW halves before that match, but they managed to play themselves out of a sky blue jersey. All they needed to do was have a solid game and they would have been selected.

Gower got injured at origin training, that's why he didn't play.

I hope Cooper Cronk gets picked over Gower for Australia so he can get over his niggly injuries in the off season but the selectors will probably take the safe option.

Yeah. Don't know what happened there. Hecks was one of our best. :(

Anyway, at least Rose looked pretty good this season. Bryant was good.

We need 2 more.

Asotasi or Creagh were the targets and we missed them. I don't hold much hope of finding something now.

True but I'd pick neither.

It will go to either Thurston or Cronk.

Melbourne's best signing this year was Manly signing Orford!

Can't hack it when he needs to lead the team in tough games. Couldn't do it at Melbourne and nothing's changed at Manly.
