The Warriors salary cap scandal has taken yet another twist.

Two leading league player managers have now been caught up in the investigation, just over three weeks after the club was slapped with a fine and a points deduction.

Reports across the Tasman suggest that Jim Banaghan and George Mimis broke salary cap rules when doing deals on behalf of Warriors skipper Steve Price and front-rower Ruben Wiki, amongst others.

Banaghan has allegedly accepted free return airfares to Auckland, luxury accommodation, cars for his players, more than $100,000 in management fees paid for by a third party and cash payments from the Warriors.

Both agents face being banned from holding NRL accreditation - the pair deny any wrongdoing.

Ok, these 2 are in the sh*t for accepting payments,,, what about the 3rd party (Cullen Sports) who made the payments. ?

gotta be fraudulent,, doesnt it ?

I think it's probably time that Mr Arrogant learnt that he is not immune
from penalty simply because he is not in the role anymore - several CEOs
CFOs in the US are learning that lesson at the moment.

It certainly sounds like fraud but I'll leave it to the more learned folk
to decide - like the SFO.

Cheers

Seriously - who cares. It happened. We can't do anything about it. It's in the past now. Deal with it.

Lets move on.

Completely agree, but i'm realistic enough to know nothing will happen to Mick Watson.

Should these charges be true, then yes, fraud charges should be looked at against Mick Watson. In the wash-up, he'll be viewed as the most unethical CEO in the history of the NRL. His lack of ethics paints a sad tale in the community, which is reflected through the turnstyle.

I don't think dragging Mick Watson through the courts is going to prove anything we don't know already. The whole process is going to cost a lot of money that the club cannot afford.

Mick Watson isn't going to give us our 4 points back, he isn't going to pay the $450,000 fine. What is the point??? To prove he is the most unethical S.O.B. of a CEO??? I don't need a judge to tell me the answer to that one.
