Is the 'C' word becoming socially accepted?

someone mentioned the N word, but that word only bothers me if it's said aggressively, otherwise it doesn't bother me at all.

Foul language on the other hand does bother me, no matter how it's used. Call me a prude, but I just think there is no class in resorting to it and it are often indicative of a poor vocabulary, but foul language is so normal these days and in this society that even intelligent people use them to substitute for just about any word. I don't like it and I would prefer not to hear or read it. I know I don't have perfectly clean language myself, but that is something I am working on. I think I would be prepared to put my safety on the line and have words with someone who was using language that offended me in front of children.

I don't mind putting my safety in jeopardy for anything I believe in, you don't truly believe in something unless you are prepared to practice what you preach and put yourself on the line to defend it. I don't mean bringing things you believe in up with everybody just to talk about and defend them, that's stupid, I mean taking a stance when something is being compromised. I think I should start doing karate again, I don't think I could take anyone in a fight, but I know I am prepared to put myself in danger and have done so in the past standing up for things and people. I actually put someone else in danger because I took a stance and I was a girl on my own and he was a guy who dared stand behind me, this stupid thug saw an opportunity to attack the guy where he didn't see such opportunity with me.

Personally, I hate the word. Not sure why, I just do.
My Fiance used it on our first date. I often remind her how lucky she is that she got a second date :)

It's fairly acceptable now days imo. My wife hates it so i don't tend to use it at home (unless i am pointing out to ref's on the tv that they perhaps got that decision a little wrong) :)

I also don't tend to say it in front of women, something my father insisted upon, and definitely not in front of my, or anyone elses, kids.

Merkin however, have introduced that to all my friends and my workplace, it's slowly catching on too !!

Who in their right mind would say it on a first date haha! Why did she say it? Can you remember?

I have never heard of androtrop meaning steroid. As far as I know it has always been a word for gay men.

Maybe you were thinking of androgen

That is probably right. I googled it when it started popping up a lot on here & most of the results were for body building websites. I didnt bother opening any of the links & made an assumption. Looks like I may have found some gay gyms. Awsome:sarcasm:

Whenever I am angry, I bust out this torrent of rage:

I honestly dont remember the context. i think it was something to do with her old boss?

But I gave her the BOD. We did talk for 4 hours and that was the only silly thing she did.

Plus, she has big boobs.

All about the math really.

I use it reasonably liberally, although I probably do choose my audience somewhat subconsciously. I've never had an awkward social moment as a result that I can recall. I rarely, if ever, use it in a derogatory fashion though... and when I do, I certainly mean that shit.
