Is the NRL in danger of becoming the next NSL?

A guy who can run fast and not much else
And a lumbering gump

I know you will be upset to find players you can relate to leaving the NRL, but I am sure the rest of us will survive

Richards would of if he wasn't injured so much.

who knows...mundine could have been better than Daley and Fittler had he not chosen to get knocked out by Sven Ottke in a boxing ring.

Maybe crowds in Melbourne would pick up if these superstar entertainers were in their team instead of the ESL:
"Leaping" Lee Hopkins
Nick Bradley-Qalilawa
Luke Dorn
Andrew Duneman
Sam Obst
Michael Korkidis
Duncan McGillivray
Brent Grose
Henry Fa'afili
Chris Leikvoll

All superstars when they played in the NRL. Imagine how much excitement there would be in Bleak City when they knew that they could watch the super athletes like Chris Leikvoll and Sam Obst going around.
If just 2 or 3 of these house-hold names returned to the NRL I am sure that crowd figures would double within the season.

Colum Halpenny, Darren Albert, James Evans..... my life is poorer for not seeing these guys stay in Australia. Wingers are a dime a dozen. Wake me up when we lose some real players worth noting.

Richards never played Origin and Donald looks like he'll never get a look in much like Blacklock.

i actually liked James Evans :(

Jmes Evans the Raider? He was destined for big things but a cruel run in with the posts robbed him of his speed and he was never the same player.

That is correct.
Each club has a limit of Australian/NZ players that they can have (4 I think)
If a player can get a European passport (or any other country besides Australia and NZ) they are not included in this quota.
For this reason, if you are an average player, like Pat Richards, but your parents are from England or Ireland or Greece - you don't get counted under the quota.
