Is the PNG club even gonna happen?

Being from PNG am also looking forward to see what the Logo will look like.
As you all know we have over 840 different languages and thousands of different tribes.
That means over a thousand different Chiefs with a thousand different looks, outfits, colours, weapons etc.

I must admit I thought PNG Angels was going to be a great outcome given the history, but I am actually ok with the PNG Chiefs - it's a great name and they can really build a strong united following behind it in the long term.

I prefer their 2nd option the Python's. It's unique.

They certainly missed a trick by not going with the pythons as they could have called their mascot “Monty”

You’d surely have to have a physical image of some sort of chief present in the logo.

Only two franchise spots left. Hope that isnt all tho. I'd love to see, and I think there's a "need" for....
- Adelaide (as a rival for Perth and Melbourne AFL states)
- Western Melbourne (as a crosstown rival to the Storm)
- NZ-2 (whether it's two Auckland based teams or not, as a rivalry, also see those two teams adopt city names not the national name)
- Ipswich (as a western corridor and fulfill four compass point teams in SEQ)
- Have the Dolphins adopt the name Brisbane or Briabane North if not Redcliffe

So that's four more with only two spots left. If they go to 22 teams thats fine too.

What about Cook Islands? Apart from PNG it's the only other country where Rugby League is the national sport. Travel from there to Brisbane is not much different to Brisbane to Perth in terms of distance.

Red-Gold-Black is obvious, but it will step on the national teams brand (or is that a good thing to be co-promoting??)

the risk of picking another colour is each clan will have different associations, so it might look like favouring one over the rest

These are the 22 Provincial flags in PNG.
Whatever they come up with for colours, someone is still going to feel left out.
Anyway, I don't think it's that important to please everyone.
