Wests..............................$17.00

And 2 or 3 weeks ago and we were favourites to win the spoon with Sportsbet

wonder what the odds are now for wests to make the 8. I reckon they'll be pretty short now.

Like most teams, too short for any decent profit with a top 8 bet.

The better money would be a Top 4 bet each for the Tigers, Canberra, Cronulla and Manly. Besides the supports, who would've thought?

I seriously think a freddieless roosters are no chance of winning the premiership this year.

I think the Panthers will struggle with injuries. Losing Puletua for the year is a massive blow and Gulavao out for a month is another blow. Their depth will be tested severely this year.

The sharks loss to manly shows that without kimmorley they are wooden spoon favs. Probably the worst half of footy this year to get beat 22 - 4 by 12 men.

Every other game they have looked good.

I contemplating tossing a coin for the tipping comp from now on - bar newcastle at this stage

How many people tipped the Sharks to finish out of the eight??? Seriously, the comp is very tight. Teams will be switching in and out the the eight the whole year i recon. Its going to be very exciting come round 20...

the comp is sooo weird early 2005 that the Reds, Chargers or even the Rams would have to share favourtism for the title in 2005. ;-)

Also without Nutley,Stevens,Mellor, and the new guy Stosic was in the Jets side for that Sharks/Manly game.

I have a feeling that the Dragons will only get better and could very well be the Premiers.

in my opinion its the sharks. as long as they keep peach, covell, kimmorley, vagana, gallen and nutley on the field for the majority of the season i cant see many teams getting within 10 metres of them

Best you print out a copy of that song, by the time anyone gets to sing it, no one will remember the words.
