Barrett has no love for the Dragons one bit. There are many other former Dragons guys not keen to come to us. Our club has been toxic for a number of years. If it wasn't for Hook applying to coach us, they most probably would have turned the other cheek and asked Mary to come back, which he probably would have knocked us back as well.

So, whether or not Barrett was on the radar by the Dragons, we don't know, who in hell have they got in mind? As I have said elsewhere, the club would have been stupid to say adios to Gentle and Head if they didn't have a couple of others lined up and got their agreement-in-principle to be assistants next year or are they that dumb that they are waiting to the last minute to get the crumbs?

i dont know Dave, there is just so much happening, players, coaches, signings, no signings. and not a peep from the club, i would assume they may have people but your last sentence seems like the dragons thing to do.

I don't know anything about Ben Woolf, but he seems have some experience. The article reads OK. If true, at least he is not an old decrepit hasbeen. That's a positive isn't it?

Well from what blacksafake has posted we look like getting Ben Woolfe to be one of the assistants and we did approach Barrett but we know he knocked us back and gone to the Eels.

Still one more to come, then we can all make appraisal of them.

You see what I want to know is why / how have we burnt so many ex players? Is it the management and/or coaching staff? Or is it the demands of the fans(us) ?

God im jealous of the Rabbitohs culture...every player loves that jersey...just watching them tonight and it all starts from Rusty their head who is proud to be a Rabbitoh on a global scale...our f**kwits board are at the Figtree pub drinking ...,

At least the club seems to be thinking outside the usual box. He certainly comes with plenty of coaching experience with the U20’s youthful players, so that’s a big plus.
Fingers crossed he has a voice in helping develop & improve our crop of younger players and we can rid the old Hook slugsters.

I know the head director at tweed where Ben coached a few
years ago and get some info on him.my son who is a director at
tweed now told me this morning that people who know ben
say he can coach.i guess we'll find out next season
