Generally I thought 2 and 3 are associated with the left side. If that is the case I wonder why do ours differently?

I know they do at the Broncos and I'm sure you could find a couple more exceptions around. If you notice that Scott/Cooper are in 3/4 jerseys and play right/left. I think there's a site somewhere that says the official numbers are meant to be that way and I definitely remember reading that 4/5 were the left side players. I don't think it matters anyway, people switch positions all the time, it's just a number anyway

I always thought Cooper/Gaz had the numbers around the wrong way due to Gaz wanting the 3 on his back, and it hasn't changed since Bennett arrived for whatever reason. After looking at a few team lists it appears you're right. It seems there's quite a mix of a few teams choosing to number one way or the other. I've never really paid much attention to whether teams did it differently to us or not, I would have thought there was a uniform way of numbering that was adhered to by all clubs.

But you're right, it's all irrelevant, it's just a number on the back.

Josh is happy there. Good on him. Doesn't mean he won't be coming back. Just at the Dogs for the $$$$$ anyway.

Haha. Dogs fans are a breed apart. We are in exactly the same position as them in regards to the salary cap - we had players leave last year & the blokes who came in were on nowhere near the amount of money Gasnier and Ryles would have been on, hence, just like them, we have room to move on the cap. Besides, we are hardly going out after high priced players like they are, we've signed Fien only & the rest have just been players re-signing.

Stop sooking you for once Canterbury fans. Its all good.
