I'm very pessimistic now about the rest of the season. I don't think the Roosters were that good tonight. They didn't have that intensity about them that they usually have in big games. We were poor.

I honestly can't see us going any further than slipping into about 8th. I can't see us improving much with this group of players. Our whole game plan is poor. Pretty much everything still runs through Kimmorley and thus we are very predictable. He needs someone to take some pressure off him. If we can start hurting sides with our attack, then I think our defence will improve. But the days of having a forward pack who are all reliable in defence, is certainly over. I can't believe the holes that keep appearing up the middle.

There are some good individuals in the lower grades who will turn into first graders, but as a whole the club is not going well. I thought Galloway had a great last 10-15 minutes in reserve grade and surely now must come back up.

Let down.... again.

Once again I get my hopes up for a win over a top side, gutsing it out, playing tough, a bit of flair, big defence, the vain hope of discipline.... yeah right......the outcome? We get flogged.

We don't seem to own a thing called 'home ground advantage' anymore. That's a big problem. It shows a distinct lack of pride. We used have that once upon a time, Shark Park used to be a grave. I was ashamed to get flogged by the Queens in front of a home ground record, let alone tonight by the Rooters.

It just pisses me off that all you guys that go to the games (I can't), pay good money and are being dismally let down.

We are way better than 20 point losers against the Rooters.

Yea, I saw Galloway and he played good, a promotion must be in order. I agree with your comments about top 8, its not looking good. I think the talent is their, its just not showing up!

The Roosters were rock solid in defence tonight. We had the ball in attacking positions all game, and just couldn't crack them. I certainly haven't lost heart after that effort.

Likewise Garbs.

Some of the boys stood tall and played well tonight. Nutley pulled off some pearlers in defence too, on Morley and Ricketson.

Stevo went great. I think he'll have his name read out on Monday.

1. Roosters are top of the heap..
2. We are scratching around - to have won last night would have been awesome , however they couldnt pull it off.
3. It was an uphill battle before kick off, it was never going to be easy and anyone who thought we would have gone like gang busters would be crying in the beer and kidding themselves.

Reuslt - chins up and remain positive for next week against manly

I like to reamin positive and say yea they were top of table, but they didnt even play well. They made many errors unlike their usual performances giving us opportunities that 9/10 weeks we wouldnt get against a team like them, even with this we couldnt rack up more points. With this, our defence has remained to be poor, and is exploited by the better sides, even in victory we still give away 20+ points and in loss, 30+.

I don't think Hampstead gave to many favours. He seemed to penalise the Sharks at crucial times of the game and in good field position for the Roosters.

If you miss as many tackles and drop as much ball as the team did last night, than unfortunately you don't deserve to win.

I tell you what, some Roosters supporters s**ted me last night, constantly goin the ref is giving us bulls**t penalties etc etc and that when they scored they were great cos they didnt need any help. A sharks supporter actually ripped into em deservadly so, they just kept on talking s**t bout the ref.

15 for PL was Newton. He is back and should press for a first grade spot shortly.

I havent lost heart as well. We played the Roosters last night. Their defence is second to none but we put some points on them which most teams havent.

If we get rid of the liability called Simmons on the wing and replace him with the non flash, safety first Saleh and make a few more subtle changes to the makeup of the bench we are a big shot at winning the 8-9 games needed to make the 8.

We play the eagles, rabbits, warriors, parra, canberra, storm which while being no certainties to win we are more than an even chance of winning.
We play the broncos in a few weeks which means they should still have their injury problems.
We play penrith after the second SOO so alot of their big guns could be stuffed.
Hopefully we get some unexpected wins along the way as we keep improving and sneak into the 8. Alot rides on the next few weeks V Souths and Manly though.

Yeah Simmo needs a break in PL. The next two weeks are critical if we are to keep away from the bottom of the table. I'm pretty depressed this morning, but the time to get really suicidal is if we lose to Souths at home.

I don't think the boys went too bad the other night. It's not quite time to hit the panic button. Some of the blokes stood up. We were beaten by a very GOOD side. That's rugby league peoples. The only negative I have to add is I think it's time for Simmons to GO! Send him back down to the lowers until his defence improves.

A long year would suggest a semi-final birth.
A short year is to be avoided.
Go the long year.

too right we ain't that bad. sure we ain't that flash yet either, but we've improved outta sight from the beginning of the year and it's obvious in our play and results.

we're not going to challenge for the comp this year and deep down we know it, but we're showing commitment and taking it to every team we play the best we can. there's still a lot of improvement to come from this team so don't write off the top 8 chances just yet... but don't bother getting ready to crack the bubbly either !

btw - to all the doom and gloomers - we're only 2 points out of the 8 and there's still 16 weeks(32 points) to play for

I hate to be a stick but I just have to correct something for you Hulka. I have been noticing it for a while now. You spell the word "he's" as "his". It is an abbreviation of he is, so it becomes he's.

Please don't take offence. Just a friendly tip.
