remarkable turnaround really. they say culture takes 10 times longer to rebuild than to destroy it. the platform that DA has laid deserves every recognition. the work that the new board has done to allow DA to his job is just as if not more amazing.

Agree DA is a great coach. Each time I watch his post match press conferences I am always impressed with his knowledge and fair mindedness.

Yes it isnt over yet, but they've done an amazing job just to make the finals, 7 weeks ago we were battling it out with Sharks and the roosters for the spoon.

About 7 weeks ago I was thinking how this season had not provided any highlights at all - except beating Knights at Newy. There was not a single game I burnt to DVD to keep. Even last year there were a few I kept.

Now I have 7 matches I need to burn to DVD and add to the collection.

I'm going to reveal something to all of you, up until last week I never took an ounce of interest in the table and ever since Hindy came out with the famous statement of having to win 9 from 8, I completely wrote this year off, even 2 weeks ago i was getting excited about next year without any knowledge that we'd still be in this comp after this weeks round.

this is truely a sureal feeling and an amazing effort from those involved from the boardroom right down to the ball boy...regardless of what happens between now and when our Journey ends it's been a memorable rollercoaster..

bugger the "job isn't done" attitude, just ride the wave and enjoy every moment of what's left of the year..

on Saturday I'll be in Las Vegas and I'm reliably informed that Hamish and Andy of 2day will be there, if i get the opportunity I'll have to go up and say hi as Mickdo recommended and I'll be wearing my eels training shirt in the process.

Regardless of what happens for the rest of the season, 2009 has been a success insomuch that all of my expectations have been exceeded.

I hope the boys can keep rolling forward, but I won't have a bad word to say about any of them after the extraordinary effort they have put in over the past two months.

Couldn't think of a better place to be watching the semis than vegas ... you must have been half expecting to see a bunch of the Eels there on their end of season trip! You'll probably spot some Roosters...
