Parra got some very dud calls. I think Storm's second set, clear call of "2nd play it" and he runs off the mark. Had to be a penalty and could have changed the game.

That was a SHOCKING decision by the ref.

Gave them all the momentum, repeat set, try. 6-0, confidence up.

Massive decision to overrule himself there - he CLEARLY called "2 - roll away" - and then allows the player to play on :?:?:?

Mind you, Melbourne copped a few dud calls too - Ben Smith's late king hit on Inglis that was a 'no-call' was interesting.

I thought all in all, Melbourne were allowed to flop all over the tackled player for FAR too long.

And the Slater 'knock on' in the 76th minute that was rewarded with a penalty - didn't decide the game, but ruled Parra out of contention.
Would have made for a good finish to have the ball 40m out with 3.5 minutes to go!

Oh well - frankly, we did well just to make the 8!!!!!!

that last penalty killed me. how many times had we seen that tackle b let go by the umpire. but at a crucial stage, when dropping the ball cold had nothing to do with the tackle, words fail me. storm were the better team, but only because they penalty gifted them the final period of the game.

It would have been the biggest travesty of all time if the Storm had lost that.
AND to the people who are bagging Tony Archer - Ok it was an ordinary decision but we lost the game when we let Inglis score uncontested. It was one of the worst plays I have seen in a GF for years.
Cant blame the refs for our inexperience and the Storms magnificent achievement.

Yep - couldn't agree more , that and the silly pass by Mateo which lead to the following Storm try ....

NO! We were coming back real strong. Storm were struggling.
They scored as a direct result of the decision.

i'm not denying the victory. its just such a shame that it came down to that penalty.
