OK - I know we are a little out and potentially things may change after Derby day, but at this stage I have 2 circled for the Cup next Tuesday and a handful thrown in for my multiples.

1st Choice - Vinnie Roe! - There is a reason why he keeps coming back!! He is special!! and this year he is weighted to win!! Would love the sting out of the ground but not too much.

2nd Choice - Hugs Dancer - This horse has been crying out for a dry 2 mile and at the price I will be investing. Very classy galloper who has had some super runs when he has had favorable conditions. Considering he will be 6.5KG's under WFA he is an excellent light weight chance. (I won't be backing him though if the track is any worse than good!!)

Multiples: Makybe (if she runs), Eye Popper, Leica Falcon, Portland Singer, and Railings

Vinnie will need it wet yes. Been backed from 11's into 8's after that track work yesterday.

I'm having some on and then hoping for rain

read my quote in the melbourne cup thread

EDIT: or i'll just quote myself in here

i read the paper yesterday and it said that vinnie roe was 4 lengths behind some other horse about 600m out in trackwork yesterday and put in a great effort to beat the other horse

then andrew bensley gets on 2ky and says that the 4 lengths was more like 1 length, and the other horse was hard held for the final 100m which was when vinnie got past him

talk about conflicting stories!!
