Id rather a rising player like DeBelin then say a Prior/Gower etc.. atleast with DeBelin, hes still pretty decent, and hes getting heaps of experience at the same time (even if hes not at his best). If hes 'really' not enjoying it, he could spend another year in the Cutters, but he doesnt seem that out of his league?

he needs to develop a step and a passing game - needs to learn from merrin. if he continues to just try and be a battering ram, then his career will go the same way as nathan long... injury prone...

You cant DEVELOP a step, it is something natural that you will see watching juniors going through the ranks. If it's there it's there, if it's not, don't try, you'll just DEVELOP a beautiful head wobble.

That's a bloody astute observation. I'll be keeping that in mind when watching the NYC now.

His reasons are sound. Nevertheless. PNG made the approach.
World Cup has been pushed out to 2025. So the horse has probably bolted for JDB, unlikely he's still a chance to be in the Australian squad.

The World Cup is on this year in England. I know because I'm going to the final at Old Trafford 19 November.

Thanks for that. I've been focussed on the French RLWC because I'm planning on going to that. I suspect JDB would still rate himself a chance to be in this year's squad.
Old Trafford is a huge stadium. Have you seen RL in England before?
