Jack Rayner Passes Away

The Rabbitohs family is in mourning today after South Sydney legend Jack Rayner passed away overnight.
Mr Rayner is regarded as a legend of the game of Rugby League and the South Sydney Club.
Mr Rayner played 196 first grade games for South Sydney between 1946 and 1957, as well as 11 games for NSW and five Tests for Australia.
Mr Rayner captain-coached the Rabbitohs, and was the coach of the Club for five premierships in 1950, 1951, 1953, 1954 and 1955.
Mr Rayner was named the Coach of the South Sydney Dream Team in 2004.
On behalf of everyone connected with the South Sydney Football Club, we offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jack Rayner.
