So who replaces him?
Jackson Hastings.
So who replaces him?
Finally the raiders to get a decent fullback?
Plead guilty and evidence was damning.
Pretty convenient he only stands now after pleading guilty when he and his defence would have known months ago he was cooked and that it coincides with the return of Hodgeson.
Canberra have played the timing perfectly.
Off to Murri court, no-one gets jail time there. The richest, whitest blackfella to lob there in a long time.https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/ca...-guilty-to-civic-assault-20180628-p4zo82.html
Pleaded guilty to 2 counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, 3 of common assault, and 1 of public urination. Unless I'm mistaken assault occasioning actual bodily harm is the same offence Russell Packer did time for. This is the ACT but the maximum sentence is 5 years imprisonment the same as NSW.
I'll be surprised if they let him play at the weekend. The media will be all over this very shortly.
Absolutely, the raiders have the ability to control court session appearances.Plead guilty and evidence was damning.

Don’t underestimate Canberra’s power. I’ve heard they rig every Oscar night.Absolutely, the raiders have the ability to control court session appearances.
They also keep Steve Guttenberg a star.
Watch him be allowed to play on now despite 5 counts of assault...and yet someone like Jarrod Mullen gets banned from the game for what he did.
Doesn’t make any sense how blokes like Packer, Lodge and probably now Wighton are allowed back into the game. The NRL really needs to do something about this.
You've just invented a outcome and then got outraged by it.
Given our history, papalli dui aside, it would be more likely he was shown the doorGiven the Lodge and Packer situations, high possibility it will happen again.

My understanding is that AOABH is basically an assault that leaves a mark but no permanent damage - bruising/swelling etc.https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/ca...-guilty-to-civic-assault-20180628-p4zo82.html

I'd be very surprised if that's what packer was charged with. Would think he was found guilty of AOGBH at least.
Wow. I stand corrected. Legitimately stunned. From Wikipedia:
Assault conviction
On 29 November 2013, Packer appeared before court in Sydney, New South Wales, charged with assaulting a 22-year-old man, fracturing his eye socket.[10] Packer punched the man in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground. Packer then punched the man several times as he lay on the ground and stomped on his head, leaving the victim with two fractured facial bones. On 6 January 2014, Packer was sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm.[11] Magistrate Greg Grogan labeled Packer's actions as "cowardly and deplorable".[citation needed]
