WTF? This is not a time to play games. Wade is a 'professional' sportsperson, in the constant eye of the media. Like it or not, he is ALWAYS representing his club.

It is not hard to pull on a suit and look 'professional' and like he is serious. I agree with Vin that we've wasted another opportunity to look like we mean business. Joe Public doesn't care or know as much about this situation as us on here do, but Joe Public sees that Wade rocked up to what the public perceive to be a very important interview, unfortunately looking very unprofessional. Perception is reality...

If Noyce is as good as an operator as most of us think he is, I'm sure there will be suggested attire for any future interviews.

Graham offers an unreserved apology
Tuesday 30 April 2013 12:59 PM

Sharks NRL player Wade Graham has offered an unreserved apology in relation to his choice of attire yesterday for an interview with ASADA.
The first at the club to be interviewed as a part of the ongoing investigation process, Graham has drawn criticism from a number of quarters.
After receiving a reprimand from Sharks management for disregarding prior instruction as to what may constitute appropriate dress, Graham has conceded his casual appearance failed to do justice to the seriousness of the ASADA process and was remorseful for his actions.
Graham has today left messages with NRL CEO David Smith and has made contact with Sharks Chairman Glen Coleman apologising for his lack of good judgment as to his clothing choices.
“I certainly take the ASADA matter seriously and my choice of dress was in no way intentional as an indication of otherwise,” Graham began. “In hindsight I agree that I let myself, my club and the game down and apologise for any distress it has caused.
“I’ve attempted to make contact with David Smith this morning and have been in touch with our Chairman Glen Coleman. I would also say sorry to both the corporate sponsors and to the Sharks members and fans for not representing the club better than I could and should have.”
Touted as a future leader of the club, Graham has been spoken to by Sharks Football General Manager Steve Noyce as to his obligations to the Sharks and to the game of rugby league in regards to the image leading players are required to portray.
“Wade is an outstanding young man and he will learn from this mistake,” Noyce said. “We have spoken about it, he realises the error of his ways and I don’t envisage him making the same mistake again.
“The club takes the ASADA matter very seriously and any players involved in future interviews will reflect that.”

The game is a business!

yes it is, run by guys in suits who run back office

it's also a sport, participated by blokes who funnily enough, play sport.

if it was a proper legal hearing under oath in a court then wear the correct attire

did you watch four corners a couple of weeks ago? the reserve grade souths player rocked up in the exactly the same style of clothing, beanie and all, funny how no one had a problem with that? and for the record was cleared.. now all of a sudden wade is being grilled like he wasn't taking the process seriously based on clothing.. come onnn... get real here

Our club has had countless scrutiny & negative attention. Do we really need any more?

Anyway, I agree that wade's clothes do represent the process.

f**k em wade. They are hamsters and do not deserve the respect of a suit.

ps I'd actually like to get some of those jeans and I am guessing they cost more then half the shitty YD, tarocash suits that float around the CBD.

We can take another option, since so much media scrutiny for next player have the players WAG go with them, they can dress up let the media know the fashion label get some publicity.

NRL couldnt be upset then, player in suit accompanied by WAG

Just on James Hooper, the smug merkin was on the Back Page tonight.

Still reckons he knows what's going to happen and it's going to get worse for us.
