James Pattinson - AB Medal/Test player of the year?

Anyone think he's a shout? He's got about 7 or 8 points by my estimate, every chance he could snag an extra 1 or 2 if he takes more wickets in the second dig. A test at the WACA to come where he could explode with the Adelaide test to follow and the kid is a legit contender.

That would be an incredible start to a career

I'd say Huss will get the Test AB on the back of the Sri Lanka tour..

Patto will get plenty of Test Player of the Year AB's,just not this year IMO..

I don't think 6 tests is enough time to wrap it up. But if he keeps going he's a certainty at some point down the road

Clarke is the only one that has been fairly consistent since the WC. Marsh would be a hope in the tests if he didn't break down.

Is it just the Lankan tour, South Africa tour, Kiwi series and India series, or am I missing something? Pattinson would have to be in with a shot considering how consistent he's been, as would Clarke and Hussey. Outside of those 3 I can't see anyone else winning the test award. My money would be on Huss though.

Depends on when the voting cycle started, which I guess would have been the World Cup. According to his cricinfo profile, he's also played 2 ODIs and 2 T20s, so it would depend on how he polled in those 4 matches as well.

He may be a chance in the test player of the year, but Clarke may have enough for the AB medal (although hasn't he retired from T20?)

he should poll well TT but I'm not sure he's played enough test matches, a few more and he'd probably shit it in
