Could get messy legally. Leeds have terminated his contract but retain his registration. Not sure how that works but its effectively priced Segeyaro out of any NRL club whilst freed up a sizeable chunk of Leeds' salary cap.

I'm sure Leeds have spoken to lawyers, at the end of the days he's the one who has breeched the contract. My feeling is Leeds will take a reduced transfer fee for him. Possibly he is going to have to pay it himself though.
It's still going to make an example that you can't just walk out on contracts without consequences. The same goes for Sandow with Wire holding his registration.

Leeds are not going to back down on this without getting compo

And neither should they... breaking contract is all fine when both parties agree... in this case tough luck. Either Leeds get compensated for a player that is still contracted and wanted or he sits out the term of the contract if he doesnt want to play there that much.

With Leeds now signing Matt Parcell from Manly even the very lslightes chance that Segeyaro has gone, but Leeds will still want a fee for him as they payed a fee for Parcell.
