USA have won once before in 1987... ironically against Japan.

I was hoping a Japanese win, but nevertheless the US ended their longest losing streak.

The Japanese are always a crowd favourite, I think their lack of size means they get a lot of support. They had a good tournament and they have improved a lot since the last one. They are getting bigger too and maybe in 2007 they will come out and win a couple games.
