Both are comming to super league and both Saints and Wigan fans are excited... personally i think both are quality players.

However considering not much of us over here get to see these 2 in action each week over a season, which one do you rate the most etc.....

Lafeta looks a great impact player and the New Zealand warriors fans love him.

So come on cockles.. Jason or Iafeta?

Both very different players.
Cayless was the corner stone of the top teams in the nrl for the last few years and his mobility suited the game plan the roosters used to pretty good (3 GF) effect. Can play for long periods and not miss tackles or drop off.
Suited to a firmer surface to get the most out of his agility. Be interstin g to see how he goes.
Cant comment to much on Lafeta ... he is an impact player and takes a moutain of stopping and alot of energy out of oppostion defenses.

depends what you are after, impact = iafeta or more stamina and a more proper prop = cayless.

for me cayless is the better prop but iafeta will bring in more of a crowd and more entertainment, in the business sense.

And it's pronounced Fecka - or at least that's what the players call him.

I wouldn't say Cayless by a mile. I'd say overall he brings more to the table but he isn't going to wreak havoc the way Iafeta does in short spurts

Hmmm...I thought it was f**ka

Paleasina is a mean mutha...big on brute force, but you can see the little question marks appear above his head once he breaks the line...not much idea then.

Cayless, a bit more of a technician, can pop a good ball and runs good angles too.

Acdtually if you watched every side CLOSELY you'd have noticed a massive improvement in Palea'aesina. In the past he's been inconsistent and was very, very limited in his game time. This year he made an impact with much greater regularity, added a touch of skill and played more minutes.

If they were going fopr the same price I'd still take Cayless first but they'd make a good duo if they played together - the tough, reliable go-forward man and the impact weapon.

Fekka will have an impact straight away, and Cayless will get his side to a grandfinal.

The Poms will love the big man.

They love a big guy that can do two or three big runs in a game. Then they wonder why they are always dissapointed in the last 60 minutes of a match.

This is not a contest. Cayless has better go forward, he is a better tackler, he has better mobility, better endurance.....

Iafeta's career has been marred by stereotyping.

He is a very good prop. There's no reason why he can't play just as many minutes as Cayless, he's done it before. He's perfectly capable of playing a 60 minute, 20 hit-up type of game at his current weight, a relatively trim 109kg.

For the record, in the previous occasions on which he has broken the line I have many very fond memories of perfectly timed passes leading to tries. He can offload to and doesn't miss many tackles.

......having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up playing 20 minutes a game off the bench, put on 10kg and become an expensive novelty....

Opposition teams DO NOT want to be doing goal line drop outs while he is one, seriously the bloke runs at 3495837956239598km/h and doesnt care who he runs into, almost scored a try from a 50m goal line drop out once he ran so hard! Love the bloke!

Stereotyping!

Well there you go. They have an excuse for every sort of failing those Warriors players have.

It's almost as amazing as the indepth and uncannily accurate opinion you seem to have about every Warrior.

And it clearly is stereotyping, most of Iafeta's supposed failings are assumptions instead of observations. Defensively, as props go, he is pretty sound. In terms of athleticism, well, he is one of the fastest props around. Shane Webcke is shorter, heavier, and slower than Iafeta, and misses more tackles, but no-one would ever level the sorts of criticisms at him that they level at Iafeta (and I am absolutely NOT comparing the two players.)
