What Ive seen is a he is a bit arrogant towards the players(wont let them talk, although all refs are like that now. Another ref with "problems" around the ruck area.

He's better than Hayne, Archer, and Lyon.

I've seen him ref a couple and haven't noticed him make any glaring errors. Hayne and Archer make a habit of being heard, and making errors.

frailty's right - refereeing ain't a walk in the park and anyone who's had a go at ANY level would appreciate that.

having said that hayne and archer should still be sent back to centrelink

Yeah i will speak from experience.. I ref in the Cronulla Association and its not as easy as people think.. And its not like its just the older games like the 14's where you cop it from, its in the 7's, its ridiculous..
Though in First Grade its a different thing, when they are in First Grade they are there because they are meant to be good refs, but half the time they are crap so i dont mind giving it to them.. But Jason Robinsons a good ref..

Jason Robinson will referee his 12th first grade game this week...

Last week he did the roosters v parra game...

The previous two weeks he was not dropped but injured....

Last Year he replaced Steve Clarke for the Bulldogs v Parra game.. (remember when clarke was carried off)

He is young referee he gets along really well with the players because he listens to the them but makes it clear who will referee the game... He works well with the captains..

THe bloke is one of the nicest blokes you could meet... Hey last year I tackled him (accidently?) in a game of touch football and he just laughed it off... maybe he was making fun of me..... :?

Was that game that Robinson did when Clarke got carried off only last year?
I thought it was a year or two before.
Time isnt going as quick as I thought.

I'm a referee. and its definetley not easy. some of the players are ignorant fools, i once got a 'youre a girl what do you know about football' and the guy just kept persisting and i warned him on many occassions but he kept going so i sent him off. the people who are watching the game are worse, if you penalise there kid you cop a spraying for the rest of the game. it's ridiculous. so full credit to the referees who have lasted iun the game a long time, its hard stuff.

Why ref when you can play?

Don't answer it, peanuts.. its a rhetorical question.
