So at least 73 have been made. The majority of which are not owned by players. Gee some of you like a witchhunt.

So someone close enough to the Souffs camp to get a GF ring is potentially involved in a drug operation, but its a witchhunt?

If Souffs had any credibility (which they don't) and if the IU had any balls (which they don't), they would insist on all players and staff issued with rings bring them to training tomorrow so as to eliminate them from question.

Seems like a good idea.

And I suppose the police could also interview the owners and employees of Zed n Zed who make the rings.

Wowee. Hunt expected to plead guilty:

Fascinating after all the talk from the lawyers about there being nothing to these flimsy allegations.

I thought you said there was nothing too it

Player's lawyer says they deny everything and will fight for their innocence.

I think people have jumped the gun bigtime.

When will you learn not to try and pretend you know what you are talking about?

What's this thing about a Souths premiership ring being found in a drug bust in Darwin?

Needs to be bumped to a new page

Mystery of Rabbitohs premiership ring turning up in drug raid tough to crack

A SEARCH to find the owner has so far come up empty after Northern Territory police uncovered a NRL premiership ring from South Sydney?s triumph last year during a drug bust in Darwin.

The ring was seized alongside drugs including methamphetamines, cannabis and steroids during the raid of a Tipperary Waters home two weeks ago.

Police are investigating who it belongs to, reports the Nine Network, but have failed to uncover its owner or how it got there despite a fortnight of trying.

Only one of the Rabbitohs? 20 premiership rings has ever been reported missing ? Dylan Walker lost his prized jewellery overboard during celebrations on Sydney Harbour.

At the time, Ben Fordham revealed on his 2GB show: ?They decided to go for a swim and Walker decided to take off his ring so that he didn?t lose it.

?As it he took it off he dropped it. His NRL premiership ring is somewhere on the bottom of Sydney Harbour.?

South Sydney have confirmed to detectives that all the players still have theirs (Walker?s was replaced) so the investigation is focusing on uncovering the owner.

The rings, produced by Zed?n?Zed jewellers, cost the NRL $8000 each and boast 39 diamonds.

They are the most expensive rings to be handed out on Grand Final day ? the Roosters? 2013 rings cost $6000 and in 2004 they were valued at $2500.

One other ring has turned up in murky circumstances, former Melbourne winger Marcus Bai?s 1999 premiership ring was identified in a Cash Converters store last June ? seven years after being stolen from his Gold Coast home.

A number of other premiership rings have turned up on eBay.

A 31-year-old man and 26-year-old woman appear in court this morning on the drug charges.
