Jaycar's Newspaper Ad

I'd just like everyone to know that my name is on the wrong list.

I emailed the guy from Jaycar IN SUPPORT OF DAVID GALLOP!

I wonder how many others are misrepresented in today's ad (page 97) in the telegraph.

For mine it's a cheap marketing ploy for his brand. He pays $25k for a full page ad and get's $250k worth of brand recognition.

Clearly the stuffing up of PG's vote shows that it's not about the content but more about the marketing.

Never knew what Jaycar was.

Would probably never send any money their way now given this ad, the game can't do any more to cater to these greedy elite players and their player manager merkins.

This was my email.... I'm only posting it as proof so please don't heckle me if you don't agree with what I wrote- it pretty much mirrors what I've said in the various thread on here.

I've got no idea how they took it as supportive!

NOT HAPPY GARY!‏

Gary,

Good for you, you had your say, jumping on the bandwagon of people pushing their own agendas.

Perhaps if you supported your side with your heart as well as your money, you might feel just as cheated as the rest of us. Melbourne Storm CHEATED for 4 seasons, so for them to play a season without points is just in most people's opinions, including mine.

I for one hope that after your letter published in today, David Gallop remains in his position for a long while to come and sticks to his guns. He has been and continues to be the best administrator we've had in a long time.

Please don't post rubbish like that in the paper again, why don't you donate the money spent to charity instead.

His add in the paper was his opinion and right to express it. He can afford it so he did good on him, it shows his passion in RL. Just because you don't agree with it means sh*t. As for the error in regards to PG's letter, sorry can't help you on that one, mistakes happen.

Ha. They problem only read the first three words of your email ...

"Good for you"

Then they were like "Yipee, another supportive email! Add him to the list."

I'd suggest you make contact with him, since he'll probably replicate the mistake on the website he's going to launch.

I thought Jaycar was some nickname for Hayne's automobile
No he drives the H Train. After he scored his try on Friday, the ground announcer was yelling out 'clear the tarmac, here comes the Hayne Train', and one astute person near me stated what kind of train needs the tarmac to be cleared?

The same ground announcer who gave the members prize away to a person not even holding up their membership card!

Well after going to a game in 2008 against the Cowboys and seeing the ground announcer come over to some people he knew sitting just in front of me and minutes later they gave away a prize 'amazingly' to someone from that same group... I've given up thinking that the ground announcers were the clean cut, honest people everyone thinks they are.
Plus he was obviously trying to put the guy off who was kicking the goals by standing over the ball and yelling at him

Maybe this sponsor is doing something dodgy with the club he sponsors?
Why would he put a ad in the paper like that?
What a prat!

The Jaycar boss was on Insight the other night, when they did the salary cap forum. He explained there, why he chose to spend the money on the ad. He is a pretty ' out there ' sort of bloke who seems to have his heart is in the right place and wants his opinions heard.

I am surprised so many people chose not to appear on the program, as every man and his dog was apparently invited.
