Every. Single. Hooker. We sign ends of doing a season ending injury. It’s incredible.

Jayden Brailey has suffered an ACL injury to his right knee.

The nib Newcastle Knights hooker sustained the injury in Sunday’s 42-24 win over Wests Tigers and requires a reconstruction.

Despite the setback, the No.9 is taking a positive outlook.

“I’m extremely disappointed but I will bounce back,” Brailey said.

“I’ll take this challenge head on and look forward to re-joining my teammates.”

FFS.... Why do we bother? Wish him a strong recovery.

So, Watson to 9 for whatever is left of this season, then back to 14 next year. Is it possible for us to keep a consistent spine?

FFS, whenever we sign someone half decent they get a serious injury... remember Pearce getting that pec injury after basically playing 10+ years injury free before that.

WTF did we do to deserve this???

If there’s one good thing to come out of the coronavirus though it’s that injured players might not miss as much footy. But given the club will be shut down he might not have access to the club trainers and physio and support staff that he normally would have access to so who knows what’s going to happen there.

The club won't leave him high and dry. Unless he or the trainer's/physio/support staff are under the corona cloud, he'll still get the rehab he needs

Watson to 9 I'd say. Except that he has been exceptional off the bench and has shown that's his best position. He'd need backup off the bench.
Maybe give Randal a go?

What a shame.

Lots of love here, glad he found a good home.

Blayke has been good in two for us, and the third one Taj, is in our system, another hooker, the story goes the best of them.

Jayden still in front for mine, proven first grader, on fringe rep selection.

Will be good to watch. Jayden will be back.

Next game??? Whenever assume Ponga will still have to serve suspension means half of spine gone, Mann at 6 means most likely Watson at 1 or 9 with Randall or Hoy at either and assume other on bench. Leaving us with a goal kicking problem for the period of Ponga absence, 1 or 2 games?
