Alot of you guys wont believe me.
So will just keep it at a rumor then.

Can't tell you guys where i heard it from,
Im confident enough in my source to say he will definately be playing. Lining up against Tonga most probably, I think Gordon may get pushed to the wing, or maybe Jennings will

He was named in Premier League though. I can't see Elliot trying to bump Youngquest out of the team after naming him.

I'd be very happy if he did though. Even if he has a bad game, any first grade experience is good for his career which is certain to be much greater then Nick Youngquests will be.

And i find it interesting also to see Rooney and Lewis shifted to the other side, likewise with Joel Clinton.

sh*t, didn't even notice that. Just on jennings what is his preferred side I notice last week in Flegg he was named number 4 but this week in premier league his at number 3.

As for whether jennings makes his debut, I'll guess we'll know once the reserve grade side runs out about 5:15pm friday.

It always will be a rumour until it is officially re-leased by the club.

The only way I can see Jennings making a 1st Grade debut is through an injury from one of our backs. Although we should keep it in mind that Matt Elliott names an *18th* man.

Can someone tell me if the *18th* man is not used, then does that mean that player does NOT PLAY AT ALL that week?

No, they would drop back to the Premier League, no sense in keeping a player from gaining match fitness.
As for Jennings, he will make his debut this year but not this week. He will spend a few weeks in the premier League yet and besides, All players are fit for round 2. The only player dropped from last week's game, to allow Frankie Pritchard back, was Matt Cross back to the bench, Matt Bell (despite being named 18th man but did not play) back to Premier League plus one to still be ommitted from Friday's squad. Matty Elliot has again named an 18 man squad for Friday night with one to drop off - that'll be known prior to Premier League game and I think it'll be Brendan Worth.

Are you guys doubting me??
Rooney and Lewis shifted for a reason.
Jennings is playing

Maybe the reason he hasnt named him is he wants it last minute thing, give Folkes little chance as possible to tell his boys to target Jennings.

It just sounds too good to be true.

I don't think anyone here wants to be let down. We're all pumped for him to get into first grade.

Don't take it personally man but as a general rule I don't believe anything I see on a public forum that comes from a random person claiming to know something no one else knows.

Having said that I certainly hope what you say is true.

He prefers number 3 (left centre) the jersey which Girdler made his own for so long. Hopefully Jennings can do the same and be our new "Girds", because we have certainly lacked in that area since his retirement.

I'll believe it when and if it happens. If it is true should Panther fans be talking about it?You would have to assume that if Elliott wanted it known he'd have announced it. Could be someone named in the backs is in doubt?

Cheers Rhino. All I knew was when they went interstate they took an 18th man and if all was well, that 18th man missed out that weekend. I thought surely that couldnt happen on local games.

Back on Jennings, I didnt notice at first the positional changes of the players. I know Langy use to say a number is a number and just that but wow, it is a different coach.

I guess Friday night will tell whether it's a strategic move to confuse the opposition or as to whether they stuffed up playing one side of the field so if you stuff it playing the other side your dropped, or it's just a plain old number on the back of a jersey and they play their usual sides, or making room for the admission of a surprise debutant.

Interesting to say the least... it keeps us all guessing...

I dunno - apparently there was strong mail we were going to get Craig Wing for this season, and posted on here.

It would be great if it happens - but let's just wait and see.

I'm still waiting for the Panthers to make an official announcement about our signing Dane Carlaw?

He must be injured because he has not been named in either the First Grade or Premier League squads.
