Yesterdays game for me really hit home how important Jerry's become to the ABs. I hadn't caught the team announcement, and missed the first couple of minutes of the match. After 15 min or so I started wondering where Jerry was, and a little later I realised that Thorne was playing in the #6 jersey. Typically for Thorne, it took me that long to notice he was there, and he didn't have that much of an impact for the rest of the match. Once COllins came on though I thought his prescence was immediately obvious and I reckon it wasn't purely cooincidence that the floodgates opened once he was on the park. He'll be one of the key players for us come October I reckon and I'll be very annoyed if he isn't one of the first picked for the big games.

I thought Ruben played well, he was a bit of a link man, but one thing I noticed was him, Tony Woodc*ck and Carl Hayman were first to fairly well every ruck in the game. He did a lot of little things right.

I think the worst thing for Thorne is that he looks like all the other forwards. Dark hair...about the same build etc.

Jerry stands out because of that god-awful haircut that makes him look like a pint of guinness. You probably notice him more.

Thorne played okay IMHO

Collins plays a different game to Thorne...he obviously is a lot stronger but Thorne brings the height and another jumping option.
