Yeah I don't know about the navy away jersey for the Raiders, don't get me wrong it's a very nice jersey, but it clashes with half of the comp...

If we're going to do a navy jersey then there's going to need to be a lot more green in it to differentiate it from some of the other clubs.

Nice work @Craegus. Some very nice variations on classic designs for the away uniforms. Looks like ISC is killing it with a contract for the entire league.

Disagree. It doesn’t matter that the navy jersey clashes with “half the league” as any navy/Black teams (Storm, Easts, Cowboys, Panthers, Warriors, Tigers etc) you wear the lime green which is amazing contrast.

The navy would be fine against Souths, the only team they even vaguely need a clash jersey for. And the navy would be more than adequate to wear away for a handful of games to promote jersey sales (say away vs Dragons, Souths, Dogs and Sharks). And you might even get the odd game where clubs do weird things, like Panthers playing at home in white, or clubs wearing heritage jerseys etc, that means there could be even more opportunities to wear it if needed

I made these designs for a portfolio on another forum, but I thought it was time to show them off here.

These are my preferred designs for all the NRL teams (both home and away with a contrast between them to avoid any clashes), I have also done State of Origin and 4 Former teams as I would see them if they were in the NRL.

A lot of your jerseys are fairly standard heritage designs which I like. But I thought I’d offer some comments on the ones you designed or slightly unusual choices

Broncos
Away- look I think most of us are nostalgic about the diamond jersey but I don’t know about it being a full time away jersey. Would prefer a predominantly gold jersey like 2018 heritage jersey

Raiders
Away- as I previously have said, I like it. Maybe a lime green line in the vee instead of navy? Green socks?

Bulldogs
Like the heritage as their away. Like the black shorts.

Sharks
Away- don’t know about the blue sash thing on the right shoulder/chest. Also I feel like sponsors wouldnt love re-hashing that design as the sponsor gets lost in the diagnonal design.

Manly
Away- I like the re-using of their 90’s jersey but would pair it with white shorts if it was to be a clash jersey

Storm
Away- yep I think 99% of the forum would love to see that again!!

Knights- interesting away. I just worry it would look a bit too Dragons on the field. Could you alternate red and blue blocks on the chest if that makes sense?

Warriors
I’m in the minority but I personally don’t want them to go back to those colours. Too much time has passed. They’re black red and white now. Nice designs though

Eels - nice choices.

Souths away - nice choice

Dragons away. Nice and clean. Basically a much better version of our away jersey from a couple of years ago when they had that ridiculous cut off butcher’s stripe.

Love your rams home jersey. Those colours are sweet!

Bears are great classic designs brought back to life, such as shame we’ll never see them again.

Pirates home is very Catalans Dragons.

Away is obviously a Western Reds jersey, I think better saved as a heritage, I think if Perth comes in they need a fresh look.

Love your work overall though. Mostly all very traditional heritage jerseys which this forum, self included, are obsessed with. Thanks for sharing

You don’t need to actually wear the away jersey against anyone bar Souths mate.

Tried a Yellow based jersey, didn't think it worked very well. The diamonds were an interesting choice, but I think it is something that is unique and not just an inverse.

Raiders
Away- as I previously have said, I like it. Maybe a lime green line in the vee instead of navy? Green socks?

I thought the lime green and yellow didn't work well together. Also I felt keeping the stripes consistent with the home was the way to go.

Sharks
Away- don’t know about the blue sash thing on the right shoulder/chest. Also I feel like sponsors wouldnt love re-hashing that design as the sponsor gets lost in the diagnonal design.

Yeah it isn't the best for sponsors, but it is a popular design and is unique to the club.

Manly

I like having Manly in White shorts at home (monochrome maroon looks horrible on them), so keeping with the theme of having contrasting kits it needed the maroon shorts.

Knights- interesting away. I just worry it would look a bit too Dragons on the field. Could you alternate red and blue blocks on the chest if that makes sense?

I think I did try that, but it didn't quite work as well as it should.

Warriors

I am in the opposite opinion. I think the current colours are just too plain. The original sets colours just pop so much more (as has been seen in their recent heritage kits).

Love your rams home jersey. Those colours are sweet!

That design is based on an actual Rams proposed jersey. The logo alteration on these kits is also based on that proposed design.

The Pirates Home is actually based on designs that the Pirates teams have worn. The away was done as this team was a request from another designer on the forum I originally posted these on and they wanted either a Pirates or Reds expansion, so I combined the two.

Nice work creagus, some great designs. I’d prefer pirates to be black with gold V with dash of red though :) then mainly red with black V and dash of gold for away. Like the heritage jersey though!

God, i love the old HennyPenny jumper. Those gold numbers just bring the jumper together.

This is probably the best away design ive seen for the Knights, but i still hate how much white we use in our away strips though. Its just not Newcastle.

Yeah nah... If the club is gonna do something then do something original and/or unique (well unique in the NRL at least), a navy jersey is neither of those things.

A yellow and green jersey on the other hand has potential, hell maybe do something really out there like playing with metallic shades or something, as long as it looks good and it's unique I don't mind.
