It’s floating around on one of these threads. Pretty sure they wore red shorts with it (spew). It looks cool I think because it’s diferent, as any alternate roosters does because they have always kept it real with the home. BUT it’s boring a bat shit and would be as bad as the light grey broncos one

Yeah the retro remake looks just sh*t. Sponsor is wrong, sleeves are wrong. Original didn't have the Classic badge and guessing the Easts badge is also dodgy.

It's not just this retro that Classic f*ck up. Pretty much all of them have something that isn't right when you match them up with the originals.

In saying that the two Souths ones, the 89 Smiths Crisps and the 84 Minties are the best two they've done that look as close to the original.

The Minties jersey is incorrect. It has the red and white stripe across the back where as the original was plain green on the back. But I agree Classic stuff them all up to a degree. Some worse than others. The quality has dropped since they stopped making them in Australia.

There is a reason why the replicas aren't exacts.

It's so they can not be onsold as originals which could be worth a bit in brand new condition.

I'm fairly sure there are a few issues that Classic would encounter along the way too, regarding use of company names/logos etc too
