We know they cost $10 to make, to be officially licenced when they cross our border costs around $100.

Partly because modern sleeves are usually a raglan cut so the ends of the stripes can meet. On a traditional sleeve cut, the stripes are perpendicular to one another.Nice jersey.
Any modern striped jersey now seems to have the hoops or stripes on the body and sleeves aligning. Back in the day they would be offset.
And a more modern version
IMO having the hoops/stripes lined up perfectly on the body and sleeves looks strange. Is it just me who finds it annoying (most likely)?
