Keep an eye on Jesse Williams at Bama this year. Local lad from Brisbane. Nose tackle. Benches 600lb, and has done 55 220lb reps.

He is a beast.

Looking pretty good to make it as a 1st round pick in next years draft.

Not projected as a 1st rounder as yet.

Projected by most as late 2nd/early 3rd.

Ahh, did a quick search and nothing popped up. I suppose he isnt the secret that he was last year. Up here he is getting a fair bit of attention already that will only get bigger, and is attracting new players into the game.

He also represents Indigenous Australians as a really good role model.

After a season at nose and the combine, i reckon he might sneak into the first round, and get picked up by the steelers!

He bench pressed 600 pounds the other week or something - which doesn't mean a whole lot in terms of football but shows he definitely has the strength. Apparently all time there aren't that many humans who have ever done that.

Williams played well this morning, had a concussion so didn't see much of the second half. Nearly got a safety, broke through the lines a couple of times - basically held up his end of the bargain, taking on double teams and being stout at the point of attack. Michigan barely got any rushing yards.

Very raw product. Some people were suggesting he was going to nominate for the 2012 draft, but he made the wise call in playing another year at college.

Most current mocks ive been reading have him as a 2nd round lock.
Panthers might take him early 2nd if they pass on the top DT's in round 1 but thats as high as i see him going

I might be wrong, but from what i have seen, he gets thrown around too much to be anymore then a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Despite the depth in defensive linemen in the 2013 draft class, it is still possible Jesse goes in the late first round.
