G ' day guys. Have been getting a lot of Newtown and ( more Sharks ) news from the local papers etc out my way.

With Jason STEPHENS injured Leuluai and Stosic are on the bench for first grade. With Hutch MAIVA in the starting side ( from Canturbury ). Apparantly he has dropped 13 kg since leaving the dogs to weigh 117kg.

MELLERS who impressed against Nth qld will play for the Jets.

The Jets line up for those that are interested:

1. Andrew LE BRETON
2. Nathan MERRITT
3. Bea SCOTT
4. Vince MELLERS
5. Dimitri PELO
6. Russell AITKIN
7. David HALL
8. John GREEN
9. Kevin KINGSTON
10. Lafi MANUA
11. Clifford MANUA
12. Daniel DUMAS
13. Cameron CIRALDO.

14. David BUCKLEY, 15. David THOMPSON ( sths ) 16. Jardine BOBONGIE 17. Remi REWETI 18. Rick ROBERTS 19. Thommas GEMMEL 20. David VIAL 21. Brett RIMMER 22. John SINISA.

Good to see John SINISA and Thommas GEMMEL there. But don't know where Ben COOK is ????

Probably just giving other blokes a run. Also heard that Cronulla signing Luke COVELL ( west tigers ) ( super boot ) is injured with a pinched nerve.

Does anyone know where Danial DUMAS, John GREEN and Demitri PELO hail from. Are they Cronulla players or jets signings.

See ya's at the game. Go the jets...

Cookie played but only the last 2o minutes, scored a try and had two scored against him from good kicks and no protection.

Jets led very early. Great try ( think it was the speed of Merritt ) again. I think we were leading 12 nil after first 10 to 15 minutes. Then Newcastle barrelled over the line ( forwards try ).

Final score was Jets 16 Knight 20. Jets had a try disallowed ( they said it went forward ) It was just a great flat pass right where I was sitting. Dont know what the penalty count was overall, however I think the Jets were the better side by far.

There was a lot of interchange, which effected play drastically. However knights were given concecetive sets of six on a number of occassions in the second half, with border line ref decisions. That were simply not as lenient when it was the other way around. What can I say. I might be bias, but believe Jets could play better, and still had no probs with that Newcastle side.
