Three games were played on Friday night. Sydney Bulls beat Guildford 53-36 in a tryathon. Ryde Eastwood lost a crucial game to comp favourites The Entrance 30-12. Cougars moved back into the five by trouncing the Windsor Wolves 40-12.
In Saturday night's match of the round Wenty were too strong for Souths Juniors winning 28-20. Souths could have applied more pressure had Nicholas not missed two conversions adjacent to the posts in the second half. With a crowd of only 150 for second v third placed teams, Wenty officials have indicated that games are likely to be played on Sunday afternoons next year.
In the other game, Woy Woy returned to the winners' list after a long absence, beating Newtown 34-24. Erina v Ourimbah result unknown.
Next week's game between Ryde and the Cougars will decide who gets the final position in the semis. The Entrance are minor premiers and Wenty finish in second place. Fourth placed Bulls could overtake Souths for third if they beat Erina and Woy Woy upsets Souths at Redfern.
