I tip Belrose, Cabra, The Entrance, Bulls & Windsor.

Windsor are showing a knack of mining the emerging states for players. A couple years ago a Western Australian, Dan Holdsworth (since played first grade for St George Illawarra) played with the Wolves and this week John Ahnfeldt, a scorer of several tries for the Northern Territory at the National U/18's championship in 2003, will make his debut on the wing.

Wenty beat Cabra 34-28 in an entertaining game where both sides had plenty of chances. In addition to the problems on the field, Cabra have an industrial relations problem with protesters complaining that 90% of club staff have been unfairly dismissed.

Apparently Newtown beat Belrose 40-32. With 2 wins already in 2005 the Jets have equalled the number of wins in 2002 and in 2003.

A mistake filled win for the Jets. They can do better. Belrose played with heart and I credit them for it. And they had a good jersey (red wth a yellow V) instead of the spew shirt that was in RLR and on their website.
