Got a question about it but may aswell have a thread that we can predict on each time they have it...

I had this bet on Monday -

Beadman (Sydney) $1.90
Baltimore -2.5 (NFL) $1.72
New England -5.5 (NFL) $1.85
Arsenal (EPL) $1.66
Portsmouth vs West Ham Draw (EPL) $3.20
Aston Villa (EPL) $1.98
$5 on for return of $317.90

I was thinking Beadman tied for the win with Boss and Cassidy on Monday. However I was paid a dividend of half instead of the 3rd of it... I recall that there was a deadheat for second in the last race and Boss was one of them. I scored both jockies 2 points...

It must 1 1/2 now I think about it as they would share the points for 2nd and 3rd (ie 3 points)... Meaning Boss got 7 1/2, Cassidy and Beadman scored 8.

Is that how it works for the deadheats? And had Boss ran second by himself would it had meant the dividend got divided by 3 (3 way tie for first)?

If there is a 4 way tie is the dividend simply divided by 4?

My brother took the challenge at all 4 metrop meetings today.

Won Sydney (Boss), Melbourne (Melham) and Adelaide (Price)

While he had Colless in Brisbane and there was a 4 way tie with Holder, Galloway and El Issa...

Never mind, seems I miss counted. TAB has Dunn winner in Adelaide.

Hmmm recounted and have Dunn and Price equal on 8 points...

edit - I now realise there was a protest upheld in the last costing Price 3rd :lol: and the outright win of the jockey challenge.

And now I'm more confused. On the nsw tab site they are showing the winner in Brissy as Colless...

Colless and Dunn were both favs so are they showing them because of that? I thought the divvy got broken down if there was a tie. I had one a week or so back that had Beadman tie with 1 other and it was halved...
