That game was almost as painful as the loss to the Dogs in 98. :x
But I agree Matt Russell's call wasnt bad and has improved since then. Now not sure if true but he got the gig after he was calling the Under 20s at Homebush before the Souths game and mightve been Andy Raymond who was crook and they (Fox sports) rushed Matt Russell to Penrith to call the first grade game. Probably got him a promotion after that cause in 2012 he was made a permanent first grade caller.
I mightve mentioned this in the Jimmy Smith thread but for Joel Caine its an example of not having to be a legend of the game to be a good commentator.
