My Good friend Sam Burgess tells me He has been asked to sound out John Bateman about a move to South Sydney.

With the uncertainty about the Bulls at the min Micheal Maquire really wants this kid. Along with Wayne Bennet & Tim Sheens.

Jamie Lyon said he was ther best kid he'd ever seen 3 years ago when he was playing uder21.

Would be an awesome signing if you got him. He IS GOING TO BE better than, Burgess, Graham, Ellis, Peacock, Morley, Betts, Hanley. And is hard as nails.

BRADFORD BULLS ace John Bateman may be on the move to Australia.

The 18-year-old is considering a switch to the NRL as the Odsal club lurch towards oblivion.

Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens and Newcastle Knights Wayne Bennett have shown interest.

And Bateman could meet the pair as he is Down Under leading England’s Academy side.

SUPER LEAGUE has gone from Stobart to Nobart after ditching a deal that caused outrage.

Several clubs were angry at the sponsorship by the haulage giants that saw no money exchange hands, but the game advertised on the side of lorries.

Now the search is on for a new backer — with Rugby League bosses looking for more than £750,000 a year.

I am a Bradford Bulls fan and have had a season ticket for the last 15 years. John Bateman is good but your statement is a little ott. To me Sam Burgess showed more promise when he was the same age(18) and don't forget at 18 Sam Burgess was a test player and John Bateman hasn't even been called up to the England Knights squad yet.
